2024 Library Grant Cycle Now Open

This Community Foundation of Tompkins County grant cycle was inspired by the Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Fund which seeks to promote genuine intellectual curiosity and a lifelong love of reading and learning, by promoting greater and easier access by youth to local libraries.

Eligible applicants are the 33 public libraries in Cayuga, Cortland, Seneca, Tioga and Tompkins counties, the 5 counties of the Finger Lakes Library System.

The report is due February 15, 2024. The application for new projects is due February 22, 2024.

A few important things to note for 2024:

~The Community Foundation of Tompkins County is using a new grant platform, GLM, this year. You’ll need to create a new account. The link was sent to your email.

~If your library already has an account in GLM you do not need to create a new account. You would only need to select the correct application from their dashboard when applying to the Community Foundation Library Grant Cycle.

~The report and the application are now two separate forms.

~If you plan to apply for the 2024 Library Grant Cycle, you must submit your grant report prior to applying. If they do not receive a grant report, you are ineligible to apply and your application will not be considered.

~If you did not receive an award last year you do not need to submit a report. You can proceed to the application. (There is a question on the application that asks about this and will let the reviewers know that a report was not filed.)

~Please note: the field asking you to upload your “Annual Report” is referring to the Annual Report to the Community, not the NYS Annual Report.

~There is no limit to the number of collaborations in which any one library can participate.
