Thank you everyone for applying for our first series of Outreach Mini-Grants! It was a very difficult decision from our COSAC team but we were able to fund the following projects:
$500 for collection development of titles for caregivers of people with intellectual disabilities. Titles will be available system wide. Topics include: managing autism, down syndrome, residential planning for families, guidance for health for special needs people, and understanding fine and gross motor skills.
$3000 for computer literacy computers and computer classes with seniors.
$700 for outreach to homebound patrons. Similar to FLLS’ discontinued Mail-IT program.
$2000 for the Personal History Workshop with seniors at the Willow Brook Senior Center. This series of workshops will assist seniors in sharing their family history with future generations.
$2500 programming for isolated youth in Preble and Truxton year round.
$2000 for 18 computer classes with a focus on job seekers.
$2450 for a dedicated job seeking computer station and related computer classes.
$1310 for ESL book kits and book club materials.
