Outreach Mini Grants Awarded

Thank you everyone for applying for our first series of Outreach Mini-Grants! It was a very difficult decision from our COSAC team but we were able to fund the following projects:

Apalachin Library

$500 for collection development of titles for caregivers of people with intellectual disabilities. Titles will be available system wide. Topics include: managing autism, down syndrome, residential planning for families, guidance for health for special needs people, and understanding fine and gross motor skills.

Seymour Public Library District

$3000 for computer literacy computers and computer classes with seniors.

Berkshire Free Library

$700 for outreach to homebound patrons. Similar to FLLS’ discontinued Mail-IT program.

Southworth Library

$2000 for the Personal History Workshop with seniors at the Willow Brook Senior Center. This series of workshops will assist seniors in sharing their family history with future generations.

Philips Free Library

$2500 programming for isolated youth in Preble and Truxton year round.

Edith B. Ford Memorial Library

$2000 for 18 computer classes with a focus on job seekers.

Seneca Falls Library

$2450 for a dedicated job seeking computer station and related computer classes.

Tompkins County Public Library

$1310 for ESL book kits and book club materials.

Ulysses Philomathic Library

$500 for computer classes for job seekers.
