Board Meeting Minutes: February 18, 2026

FLLS Trustees Present: Toombs, Thomas, Berggren-Thomas, Knapp, Mannino, Maroney, Meyers, Dames.
Absent: Furi, Schaﬀer.
FLLS Staff Present: Executive Director Sarah Glogowski, Administrative Assistant Diana Leigh, Education and Outreach Librarian Jenny Shonk, Business Manager Carlos Perez.
Public: Tompkins County Public Library Director Emerson DeMeester-Lane.

President Berggren-Thomas called the meeting to order at 3:03 PM.

(Document 26.09) Agenda: No conﬂicts of interest were reported by any Trustees present.
(Document 26.10) The minutes from the January 12, 2026 meeting were accepted. Motion by Meyers, 2^nd by Dames.
(Document 26.11) The Director’s Report was discussed.

Emerson DeMeester-Lane was welcomed and spoke to the board.
(Document 26.12) The Meeting Room Policy was discussed, and will be brought back next month with a few changes.
(Document 26.13) The Code of Conduct for Programs was unanimously approved with minor edits, as noted. Motion by Toombs, 2^nd by Knapp.
Jenny gave an update on the progress of our Website Accessibility Project.
Sarah gave an update on member libraries, which included a discussion on the Central Library.

The Plan of Service Committee gave an update and talked about focus groups.

(Document 26.14) The January 2026 Business Manager’s Report was accepted. Motion by Maroney, 2^nd by Mannino.
The January 2026 Treasurers’ Report will be presented next month.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:37 pm.

Next Meeting: The next public meeting will be on March 18, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
