Board Meeting Minutes: March 18, 2026

Attendance

  • FLLS Trustees Present: Toombs, Thomas, Berggren-Thomas, Mannino, Maroney, Dames.
  • Absent: Furi, Schaffer, Knapp, Meyers.
  • FLLS Staff Present: Executive Director Sarah Glogowski, Administrative Assistant Diana Leigh, Member Services Librarian Heidi Eckerson, Business Manager Carlos Perez.
  • Public: Tompkins County Public Library Board President Jason Kovari.

Presiding

President Berggren-Thomas called the meeting to order at 3:03 PM.

  • (Document 26.16)      Agenda: No conflicts of interest were reported by any Trustees present.
  • (Document 26.17)     The minutes from the February 18, 2026 meeting were accepted. Motion by Toombs, 2nd by Dames.
  • (Document 26.18)     The Director’s Report was discussed.

New Business

  • Jason Kovari was welcomed and spoke to the board and answered questions.
  • There was a discussion about Central Library.
  • (Document 26.19) The Updated Meeting Room Policy was unanimously approved. Motion by Toombs, 2nd by Mannino
  • Sarah gave an update on member libraries.

Plan of Service Committee

  • (Document 26.20) The Plan of Service Committee mini focus group will be rescheduled for next month.

Finance Committee

  • (Document 26.21) The February 2026 Business Manager’s Report was unanimously accepted. Motion by Thomas, 2nd by Mannino.
  • (Document 26.22 and 26.23) The January and February 2026 Treasurers’ Reports were unanimously accepted. Motion by Mannino, 2nd by Dames.

Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 4:53 pm.

Next Meeting:  The next public meeting will be on April 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
