Serving Teens: Trying to do More with Less (Without Burning Out)

Using current issues facing your libraries, Teen Services Librarian Stephanie Squicciarini will come armed with proven strategies and collaborative endeavors to help you serve your teens while also (hopefully) maintaining  energy and enthusiasm!  Bring your list of issues and we will together try to work out plans to make them seem less overwhelming. You will leave this workshop with strategies for school and public library collaboration and advocating for resources.

Feel free to invite your collaborators to register too! Teachers, Media Specialists, etc. are all welcome to attend!

Stephanie Squicciarini still considers herself a recovering retail manager, even after 13 years as a Teen Services Librarian at the Fairport Public Library.  She is also the President of her hometown library’s Board of Trustees and the Founder and Director of the Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival.  She was named as a Library Journal Mover & Shaker in 2008.  She is currently trying to read at least one book by each of the 31 authors attending TBF 2014.

This program is funded through a donation from Joan Cooke
