2017 YSS Conference Registration and Scholarships

It has been over 3 decades since this conference has been in the Ithaca area. With support from the Finger Lakes Library System and the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library, the Youth Services Section of the New York Library Association will have their Annual Spring Conference in Ithaca, NY on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 8:30am-4pm.

The conference will begin at the historic State Theatre of Ithaca where our Keynote Breakfast will inspire participants to get up, get moving and advocate for your library. You will then take a short walk through the new and updated Ithaca Commons to our breakout sessions located at the independent movie theater, Cinemapolis. Back at the State Theatre, lunch will be served with our Author and Illustrator Luncheon. The afternoon sessions will continue back at Cinemapolis and the Tompkins County Public Library. There will be planned time for networking, take in the sights of Ithaca and check out some of the local flavors. Most importantly, there will be accessibility options available for those in need.

Special lodging rates are available through Hotel Ithaca at $124/night. Call to make your reservation today and request the NYLA-YSS 2017 Room Rate at (607) 288-2096

The audience for this conference is primarily professionals serving youth and their caregivers. This year, the planning committee has included offerings for not only librarians, but for community partners, teachers, homeschoolers and more. Full conference offerings and registration information can be found at www.nyla.org/yssconference
