The End

When the last bomb has burst

two survivors cry out in thirst

All alone they die

to survive they do not try

They alone have faced the pain

their friends and relatives have been slain

It started as a quarrel over who owned some land

the fighting never ceased, battle was fought hand to hand

They alone hide in their fear

down one’s cheek streaks a tear

Would the decision have been made

if they knew the consequences that were to be paid?

They said the nuclear bomb was to defend...

instead it led to the end
