Use these free directory services to help you find the information and services you need, including information about temporary assistance, housing, transportation, food, employment services, crisis counseling, financial and legal issues, and physical and mental health care:

 

Cayuga, Seneca, and Tompkins Counties:  Dial 2-1-1 to speak with a trained call counselor. This service is free, confidential and available 24/7. Spanish speaking call counselors and Language Line Translation Services are available. You can also search online: 211FingerLakes (for Cayuga and Seneca Counties) or 211Tompkins (for Tompkins County)
 

Cortland County:  Search the Seven Valleys Health Coalition Directory of Health and Human Services directory online.
 

Tioga County:  Call 1-888-266-5252 for free, confidential help or search the First Call For Help directory online.
 

Other National Resources:


National Hunger Hotline - this free hotline helps people find soup kitchens, food pantries, and other resources for food insecurity. Help is available in English (1-866-3 HUNGRY), Spanish (1-877-8-HAMBRE), and online.

New York State Programs:  Check your eligibility right now for food stamps, temporary assistance, WIC, and Home Energy assistance online right now at http://www.mybenefits.ny.gov (it only takes a few minutes!). Alternately, you can also contact your local Department of Social Services office:
