Athena has lived in Groton for 7 years with her husband and two daughters, ages 8 & 10.  Athena has served on the GPL board for two years, originally as the Financial Officer, and now the acting President.  She was a co-owner of a local business in Groton, in addition to serving as a private Grant Writing consultant to non-profit organizations nationwide.  

She is now a Grants Development Specialist at Cornell University in the Division of Nutritional Science.
