- Spine Label Template
- If you are thinking about printing your own spine labels but don't want to spend the money for a special printer that will hook up to your Dynix workstation, then I may have a solution for you. The labels are unique and are available from Highsmith School and Library Products at a cost of $8.75 for 1225 labels. You can print your spine labels from MS Word. Keep in mind that this is a spine label solution only and won't print pocket labels. From the computer that you have MS Word loaded and will be printing from, Right-Click on the link to Spine Label Template then Left-Click on Save target as … Save the document in your "My Documents" folder where you will be able to find it. To print spine labels open the document in Word and start typing in the call numbers you want in each of the cells that represents a label. When you have all the call numbers in, go ahead and load a sheet of labels and print it. Remember not to save the document when you close Word since you want to keep the label cells blank. You can reuse partial label sheets by typing in your call numbers in the cells that represent the labels that are available on your sheets.
