April System Meeting

 The April System Meeting will be on Thursday, April 28^th, from 9:30 – noon and will be a Film Festival!  Come join us to get a taste of the documentaries in DVD format that the system has in its collection.  We will have clips from at least five films, plus some brief discussions of upcoming DVD deposit collections, DVDs in your library and care and maintenance of DVDs.  I hope you can join us!

Summer Reading Update

For 2005, the summer reading mini-grant will allow us to purchase library card protectors and books for your collections and/or your promotions.   

Each library will be able to choose $100 from the booklist provided in your FLLS system meeting summer reading packets*; a price guide and second copy of the booklist will be available soon.  *Poems Go Clang! is no longer available, however. 

Each library will receive the same number of library card protectors as last year unless I hear differently from you.  The cards will be a translucent red in the same style as the past two years and feature the bunny with tune in @ your library printed in white lettering. 

Additionally, each library will receive a copy of I Know a Shy Fellow Who Swallowed a Cello along with the instructions for creating your own shy fellow story time extension.  (I will have one completed for borrowing, as well.) 

Summer Reading is right around the corner!
