MEMBER LIBRARY WEEKLY BULLETIN
No. 04-41 October 29, 2004
Reference books recycled:
If you are interested in receiving any of these previously owned reference books, contact Kathy Parkhurst, Reference/Interlibrary Loan Librarian, by November 5, 2004. (All items are one-volume, unless otherwise indicated.)
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please check your delivery bag for information on the 2005 Encyclopaedia Britannica print set offers.
For member libraries creating fast adds on Dynix for non-book materials:
Please remember to add [sound recording], [videorecording], or [electronic resource] at the end of the title when appropriate. It is important that you qualify your fast adds for these non-book formats in this manner so that we can more easily re-link holds that may have been placed on them by your patrons.
If you have any questions, please contact me.

It’s Annual Report Time!
It’s that time again…time to start gathering data and filling out your Annual Report forms. It’s never to early to start!I received an e-mail from Maria Hazapis at Library Development in Albany and have copied it below. Please print out a copy of the form and instructions and begin filling out your report. The sooner you get started the better! Thanks!
Message from Maria:
The 2004 Annual Report for Public and Association Libraries has been posted to our web site at: http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/libdev/libs/index.html (scroll down). Please encourage your member libraries (that’s all of you!) - especially those who have ended their 2004 fiscal year - to print out a copy. It's never too early to start gathering information!
I anticipate that the Collect software will be released in late December or right after the first of the year. As a reminder, annual reports are due to DLD on March 1st.
