Video Deposit Collection Profile
We have received video deposit collection profiles from almost every library. The following list is of those libraries that have not sent in their profile:

Please take a few minutes to fill out a new profile. Even if you do not want a collection, just fill in “0” for the number of films and send it back to the attention of Malia. If you have misplaced your form, please contact me and I’ll send you another.

Trustee Workshop – Saturday, September 18, 2004
Just a reminder that on…
Saturday, September 18^th in the Borg Warner Room at the Tompkins County Public Library, FLLS will be hosting out annual trustee workshop – “Fundraising for Libraries in the 21^st Century”.

Mr. Ronald Barrows of the Barrows Group will be presenting this year’s Trustee Workshop on fundraising for libraries. He will address a variety of strategies and techniques for raising financial support that could increase income to your library. His presentation will include practical applications of these strategies and techniques, as well as a question & answer period which will allow you to discuss real challenges facing your own library.

To date, registrations or verbal confirmations of attendance have been received from the following libraries:
AURO
CAN
CATO
GRO
INT
SENF
SPE
WEED

This is great opportunity to learn strategies to raise funds for a capital campaign, a building project, or other big projects that may be looming in your library’s future. I strongly encourage each library to send at least one trustee. The need for a healthy budget and increased income is universal. Don’t miss this chance!

DVD boxes
A couple of weeks ago, I sent an e-mail out about empty DVD boxes that are available free. When we purchased DVDs for the FLLS collection, we decided to purchase sturdier boxes to circulate them in. Consequently, we have many perfectly good (though perhaps not so sturdy) boxes left, which we would like to offer to you!

Several of you responded; please know that if you asked for boxes, they are now on the delivery shelves to be sent to you. If anyone else is interested in boxes, or for those who are getting some, but would like more, please let me know!

BARBARA FULLER, North Spencer Christian Academy

I'm trying to locate a card catalog with at least 10 drawers for the North Spencer Christian Academy in Spencer, NY. I also need a four-drawer unit for the shelf list cards. Currently, the catalog cards are in metal drawers with no rods and the unit holding these drawers is not safe for the students to be using.
