Hi all…

For those of you who were not at the last system meeting (and for those that were and may have forgotten) I mentioned that we were going to institute permanent loan videos.   

A permanent video loan is a video that is loaned from the Finger Lakes Library System to a member library.  The video is still owned by the System but is housed at a member library for an indefinite period.   

Our video collection has gotten quite tight, but there are still lots of good films that don’t warrant weeding.  So this seemed like a good solution.  I will be putting your first list of eligible permanent loan videos in delivery in the next couple of days.  There is a cover memo and an agreement that needs to be signed in order to take part in the program.  Please read everything carefully before sending your chosen video list back. 

We are excited to offer these films to be housed in your library!  Please contact me with any questions you may have.  Thanks!

Summer reading System meeting:

New York Is Read, White, & BLUE!

This will be an awesome Hands-On Workshop presented by Craft wizard Carolyn Travers for a morning of crafts beyond the manual AND tips for the school—library connection.
