"Another 'Hysteric' Librarian for Freedom" Button http://tinyurl.com/thnp
To help raise awareness of the overreaching aspects of the USA PATRIOT Act, ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom will sell its Another "Hysteric" Librarian for Freedom buttons for $2 each (1-10 buttons); $1.50 (11-50 buttons); and $1.25 (51 or more). All proceeds support the programs of the office.
The Annual Report Workshop will be taking place at the December System Meeting on December 4, 2003. Please let me know if you plan on attending by phone or e-mail. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO ATTEND!! You will be rewarded with …well I’m not telling with what, but a treat is definitely in store for those who come!

* "Easy-to-read" pages, available in both English and Spanish, bring together the popular Interactive Health Tutorials and other easy-to-read materials by topic. Look for the "Easy-to-Read" graphic on the Health Topics page http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/healthtopics.html The pages include links to printer-friendly versions and the ability to email the link or the entire contents of the page. The direct link for East-to-Read Health Topics is http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/easytoread/easytoread_a.html
*The Organizations page, available from the "Other Resources" tab http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/otherresources.html now includes all organizations with pages linked in MedlinePlus. The alphabetical pages include printer-friendly and email links.

* Spanish-speaking users can now subscribe to a daily news feed of health and wellness articles.
