Reminder on iPac Registration This is a reminder that the software used to display the catalog on your dedicated iPac computers needs to be re-registered for another year. If you have not already updated the Registration Number in your software, please do.
You can find instructions on how to update Windows 2000 and Windows XP iPac computers on our web site by going to www.flls.org and clicking on the Computer Network Services link.
If you have Windows 95 or 98, please give us a call and we’ll help walk you through updating your registration number.
If you are unsure if you need to update your Registration Number, look at the title bar for the iPac window and if you see “<unregistered>” in the title you need to do this update.
- KATHY PARKHURST, ILL/Reference Coordinator

You all will be getting the flyer for our September System Meeting in your bags soon. I wanted to remind everyone that the park and ride shuttle is not in effect at this time. You will need to park in the lot, which is still open, or on the street. The following is from the Maine State Library listserv: Sept. 1, 2003 NPR (and on the WWW now and with audio later), Seattle Librarian Nancy Pearl is interviewed -- not about her having started the What If Everyone In Seattle Read The Same Book program -- not about her own new book, "Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment, and Reason," which is due out this month -- but about the 5 inch tall action figure to be released by Archie McPhee this October for which Nancy Pearl is the model -- the Librarian complete with stack of books (one of which is Eudora Welty stories) and the ability to shhhhh patrons. Go to: http://www.npr.org/display_pages/features/feature_1415714.html Check it out!
