Lake Placid Educational Foundation/NYLA Scholarship: The Lake Placid Educational Foundation/NYLA Scholarship provides financial assistance to enable an interested and deserving student to pursue a Master's Degree in Library Science at an ALA-accredited library school in New York State.  The recipient of this award will receive $12,000 to cover tuition costs and related expenses.  In addition, the winner will receive a complimentary one-year student membership in NYLA and free attendance at the first NYLA Annual Conference to be held after the awarding of the scholarship. Library Card Holders
If you would like more “Picture This, Imagine That” library card holders, please let me know! They may be useful for new library card recipients or class visits in the fall.
 

The Dynix New User training that was scheduled for Monday, August 4th has been canceled.  The Dynix Advanced User training is still scheduled for Monday September 8th.  If you are interested in attending this class please contact Jan Aguirre at ext. 36 or by email at jaguirre@flls.org.  We do have a limit of 10 so sign up early.
