April 30 -- How to Start a Friends Group (and Keep it Going)

If anyone out there is having trouble calculating your circulation statistics, please contact your Annual Report helper with questions. Below are some guidelines that may help you:

  1. The figures in the table of Interlibrary Loan statistics which Kathy provided at the System meeting (and which those of you who could not make the meeting will be receiving in your delivery this week) are to be used ONLY in Part 4 of the report for the lines stating : INTERLIBRARY LOAN-MATERIALS RECEIVED (BORROWED) and INTERLIBRARY LOAN-MATERIALS PROVIDED (LOANED).

These figures should not be added for circulation statistics.

  1. Your total circulation is found on the Dynix report on the line "Total Checkouts". The figures you use to get that total are found on the pages titled "Item Types--Use Counts" ONLY. Do not use Kathy's ILL figures from her table.

  1. Do NOT use the figures from "Item Statistical Classes--Use Counts" to get your total circulation. These figures do not take into account errors in item types etc.

Summer Reading E-Mail List

If you have signed up for the Summer Reading Planners E-Mail List, but haven’t received a message yet, please let me know (dianam@flls.org). If you haven’t signed up for the list, but would like to, please e-mail me with your name, e-mail address, and library.

Janway Products for Summer Reading

I’ve sent out the order forms for Janway products for this year’s summer reading program, Picture This, Imagine That - Read! There is some really neat stuff here! If you have not received an order form (or didn’t pick one up at the System Meeting), please get in touch with me. Orders are due to FLLS by Thursday, Feb. 13.

We’ll be offering a collective order from Oriental Trading, etc. again this year of small, inexpensive prizes. I am beginning to choose prizes now. If you’d like to help me out, or have some prizes in mind, please let me know! Pooling these orders saves money and allows for ordering more flexible quantities.
