has been in the hospital for several weeks… If you would like to send

Here are a couple of video reminders for all Finger Lakes Library System
members.  PLEASE NOTE: If Directors are the individuals who primarily
read the Weekly Bulletin, please share the following information with
anyone who handles FLLS owned videos, particularly the deposit
collections.

When you are sending back a deposit collection, please include a copy
of the packing list and indicate on the list if there are any videos
that are not being returned with the rest of the collection.  Many of
you have begun doing this, but consistency is important, so I am asking
that everyone follow this procedure.

Malia has successfully completed the updated and complete Finger
Lakes Library System Video Holdings List.  This will be available on a
by request basis only.  We will not be automatically sending out a copy
to you.  You may get a copy sorted alphabetically by title or sorted by
genre.  If you would like a copy of the list, please contact Malia
Newby, ext. 24.

	FamiliesConnect is now registering students for their Free January/February online sessions. The 5 lessons are e-mailed to you and posted on the FamiliesConnect website. If you are curious about the Internet, but feel overwhelmed by it, check out the classes offered. If you are considering how to teach or advise parents about using the Internet with their children, this may also be of interest to you.
	Raising Good Citizens for a Virtual World: How Do We Help Our Children Be Safe and Ethical When Using the Internet? is designed to: Help parents and other caregivers sort out the ethical issues surrounding Internet use by children and young adults. FamiliesConnect: An Introduction to the Internet is designed to:
	Help parents, grandparents, and other extended family members learn about the Internet and how to use it with children and their information needs.
	Check out the website: http://www.ala.org/ICONN/familiesconnect.html to register. Registration deadline is January 28, 2002. Course size is unlimited.
	The courses are created by FamiliesConnect, the parent/extended family component of the American Association of School Librarians' (AASL) ICONnect technology initiative.
	Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is January 21, 2002. Check the FLLS website for suggested websites on Martin Luther Kings, as well as picture book recommendations.
