MARISA IACOBUCCI, Adult Services Coordinator

I received my first e-mail from Maria Hazapis over at Library Development
concerning the 2001 Annual Report. My first impulse was to run screaming,
but then I realized that positive thinking is what is needed here! So, I
believe the software will work like a charm and everything will go smoothly
(that’s a good start).?
Her e-mail included the address where the report and all pertinent
information about it can be found. That address is:
<http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/libdev/libsys.htm>
I strongly encourage you (particularly those of you whose fiscal year has
ended) to print a copy of the report so that you can become familiar with
the questions and format, and to complete as much of the report as possible
before the software is ready. By doing this, you will contribute to the
possibility of things going as smoothly as we all would like.
Maria says: “We made a concerted effort to clarify the instructions and
simplify the way the instructions were formatted - no more blocks of
rambling text - I hope you agree.” We’ll see what things look like this
year…
We will be having an Annual Report Workshop on Thursday, January 17 from
9-12 here at the System. We will be using our LSTA grant laptops, so there
will be a sign-up. More information will be forthcoming. Also, the
deadline for submitting your report to FLLS is Thursday, February 7th by 5
pm. Of course if the software goes fluey again (but it won’t I am sure!),
that date could change.
Everything that is written here, will be coming to you sometime next week in
a flyer. Hope all is well.
