If you are interested in requesting bi-folkal kits please remember that they are all on Dynix and if you are an automated library you may request them through Dynix. You may search for bi-folkal kits on Dynix by title keyword or by series using the word “bi-folkal”. If you forget how to spell bi-folkal, you can do a series search and just type in “bi” which will bring up a list to select the correct spelling from. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call or e-mail me.
Banned Books Week is September 22-29th this year. I received the following e-mail concerning Banned Books Week that I thought may be of interest. I know how busy everyone is, but if you can just put a small display of banned books out to let people see what is considered “inappropriate” for libraries, that would be great! If you are doing something small or big, I encourage you to send the information on to ALA. Thanks and stay cool!

Subject: [IFACTION:1796] Local Libraries and Banned Books Week

Hello, all. The press kit supporting the 20th anniversary of Banned Books Week will be mailed in the coming week, and we are looking to include some details from local libraries. At the least, we would love to know if you plan to participate, even if you're not sure what your program or exhibition will look like yet. Even better, we would like to know more about your program so we can give examples of how libraries are celebrating our Freedom to Read.

Please send responses as soon as your schedules allow. Thanks in advance, Larra.
