Hi everyone! I hope you all had a chance to enjoy the terrific weather we had the last two weeks in April. Heres hoping May provides some of the same.
I have a few things to mention ..
| If a patron returns a Book on Tape with a complaint about poor quality, please make sure you find out which number tape is the one that isnt working right. If a tape comes back in the drop with a some tapes didnt work right note on it, please try to find out who checked it out and give them a call for specifics. Without knowing which tape is malfunctioning, I cannot order a new one. | |
| Just a reminder: We cannot do any repairs of books on tape or videos here. Barb does repairs of FLLS videos only, and there is no one here who can do audiocassette repairs. If you have tapes that are from any of the bigger companies that deal with libraries, chances are you can buy replacement tapes from them. Publishers who sell books on tape, like Simon & Schuster, do not sell individual replacement tapes. Sadly, when a tape in a set such as this breaks, you have to discard the whole thing. | |
| For all those who said yes to a Booklist subscription, your subscriptions have been ordered and youll be receiving your first issue in about two to three weeks---most likely the June 1st issue. If you have not received an issue by the second week of June, please let me know. For those of you who already have a subscription, please remember to send me your renewal notices as soon as you receive them. | |
| Barb and I are plugging along, continuing to get the videos in order. We will let each library know ahead of time when its first deposit collection will be arriving. | |
| Please take a few minutes and fill out the Book Group Questionnaire (a pink sheet that came in your bag) that by now you (hopefully) all have received. Many of you filled one out at last weeks system meeting, but for those of you who did not, I would appreciate your input. |
Thats it for now thanks!
