When submitting vendor shelf list cards or Dynix / Le Pac update forms, please separate those requesting additions from those requesting deletions or changes. We receive approximately 100 or more cards and forms every day from over 30 member libraries, reading centers and agencies, and we process the two categories separately and with different staff. It would be save a considerable amount of time each morning if we didn’t have to sort them out.

When submitting videos or sound recordings for cataloging, please send them in unprocessed. Many times important cataloging information is lost when the original packaging is cut up and inserted into containers or covered up with property stickers or barcodes. Unlike books, we can not easily review the materials if cataloging information on the containers is missing, hidden, or unavailable.

Finally, a reminder to label every card, update form, process form, etc. with your library key. We often receive packs of cards with no indication of which library sent them in. Unlabeled items simply put in a tagged delivery bag along with other items does not insure that they will be distributed correctly once they arrive here.

Thanks for your cooperation.
