Congratulations…to Hazard Library (Poplar Ridge) for their perseverance with their appeal to the Gates Grant Foundation…it paid off! They have been notified that they will receive two Gates Grant Foundation computers for their library!!!

Notice: Effective Sept. 1, 2000, materials sent in to FLLS for processing from member libraries with automated circulation (both the Brodart Precision One system as well as Dynix) will no longer be issued an extra set of labels for each title. The purpose of the extra set of labels has been to provide non-automated libraries that circulate manually with interim title and author access to new materials until such titles appear on the next Le Pac union catalog cummulation. The extra set of labels have never been intended to be used as permanent shelf list catalog cards, and since there is no need for libraries with automated circulation to maintain a paper shelf list catalog, these libraries will only be provided with labels to be attached to the materials themselves. Please note that until they acquire automated circulation the libraries listed below will continue to receive an extra set of labels for each title:

• Aurora Free Library (scheduled to start using Dynix later this year)
• Berkshire Free Library
• Kellogg Free Library in Cincinnatus
• Fair Haven Public Library (scheduled to start using Dynix later this year)
• Lodi Whittier Library
• Peck Memorial Library in Marathon
• Hazard Library in Poplar Ridge (scheduled to start using Dynix later this year)
• Port Byron Library (scheduled to start using Dynix later this year)
