The Cortland Free Library was one of 10 member libraries that applied for this unique opportunity. Through their partnerships with the Philips Free Library in Homer, NY, the Cortland Purple Tiger Football, Homer-Trojan Football, Cortland Junior-Senior High School, Randall Elementary School, the Cortland Youth Bureau and Max Graphics, their application proved they would be able to reach the most young readers in their very diverse community.
Funding was made possible through the generous support from the Friends of Tompkins County Public Library, which enables the Finger Lakes Library System to support member libraries through programming, purchasing materials for system-wide collections, continuing education opportunities, and more.
