On Saturday, April 10th,
the Weedsport Library Jr. Friends and Board of Trustees will be holding
a chicken barbeque at the Library from 11am until 2:00pm. The cost
for a chicken dinner is $8.00 and includes chicken, potatoes, baked
beans, salad and dessert. All proceeds will benefit library programs.
Eat at the library, get take-out, or have your dinner delivered! Tickets
are being sold in advance at the library. Call the library at 834-6222
to arrange delivery, or for more information.
Thank you to everyone who
participated in Food For Fines! We are pleased to
report that 257 items were donated! All of the collected items were
donated to the Brutus-Sennett Food Pantry. Congratulations on clearing
your library record and supporting a worthy cause! Thank you patrons
who donated just because!
National Library Week is April 12-17. Children of all ages are invited to come to the library and pick up a Bingo Board to play “Library Bingo. All ages can play, pick up the rules with your card.
School Vacation Week
is April 19-24. Staying in town? Come to the library and find a
good book to read or maybe a movie to watch! Reminder: there will
be no story hour sessions this week.
Dinosaur Bingo returns
on Thursday, April 22nd from 6:30-7:30 PM. For kids of all ages. Come
for some fun and prizes galore! Registration appreciated but not required,
call the library @ 834-6222.
Do you like to write? There's
a writers group meeting at the library! Come and share your
writing or if your pen ran dry, come and listen! All are welcome,
the next two meetings are Tuesday, April 20th and Tuesday,
May 18th, 7:00 PM.
The Friends of the Library
are holding another informational meeting on Thursday, April
29th at 7:00 PM about the cruise to
New England and Nova Scotia from September 18-25, 2010. Deposits
are due by April 30th, final payment by June 5th. donate
miss this wonderful cruise opportunity!
The Friends of the Library
are also sponsoring two motor coach trips in 2010, a day trip
to the Hudson Valley on Thursday, July 15th and an Authors
in Autumn trip to Boston October 15-17, 2010.

Looking for tax forms?
Come to the library for them! We have the basic federal and
state forms and booklets. We can also download and print forms
from the internet that we donate have in print.
