Encyclopedia of Animals (EBSCO)
Encyclopedia of Animals offers in-depth full-text information on a variety of topics relating to animals including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and dinosaurs. It includes full-text articles describing the nature and habitat of these animals. Some articles include just the abstract or citation. Some of the full-text articles include images. 

Funk & Wagnalls New Word Encyclopedia (EBSCO) 
Full-text articles of over 25,000 encyclopedia entries, covering an array of topics. The database contains various images, offers brief biographies as well as information in a variety of subject areas. It is updated annually. 

Grolier Encyclopedias (Scholastic) 
Full-text access to the following encyclopedias:
Encyclopedia Americana - In-depth research and worldwide current events for older students and adults.
Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia - Quick reference and rich media for middle school and high school students.
Lands and Peoples - Current information for country and state reports.
The New Book of Popular Science - In-depth science, plus science in the news.
The New Book of Knowledge - Reference and current events for elementary readers and older.

This health database includes over 2800 journals and magazines, many of which are full-text. It contains nuring and allied health journals, other medical journals, newsletters and consumer health magazines.

Health Reference Center - Academic (Thomson Gale) 
Health Reference Center provides access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals, plus a wide variety of personal health information sources. This database integrates the full text and images of respected nursing, allied health and medical journals; consumer health magazines; newsletters; pamphlets; newspaper articles; topical overviews; and reference books.

Nursing and Allied Health Collection (Gale Cengage Learning) 
Mostly full-text articles from journals covering topics related to nursing, biomedicine, health sciences, consumer health and allied health disciplines.

Fiction Connection finds titles similar to books you already enjoy or searches for books by topic, genre, setting, character, location, and timeframe. You can create a personalized list of titles based on the characteristics you enjoy. 

Literature Resource Center (Thomson Gale) 
The LRC includes biographical information on writers and overviews of their works. It also includes full-text literary criticisms and reviews on nearly 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods and from around the world. 

NoveList Fiction Guide
NoveList is a fiction readers' guide to finding new authors and titles. It allows readers to use a favorite author or title as a starting point to locate other authors and titles of interest. They can also enter words that describe the contents of a book they would like to read, and NoveList retrieves titles that contain these words in the book's subject headings field. In addition, users can browse over 1,200 theme-oriented book lists, 160 award lists and 1,800 fiction related web-sites.

Patron Books In Print 
Patron Books in Print has more than 5 million fiction and nonfiction titles for adults and children in book, audio, and video formats. Find what you want with a quick search or get ideas by browsing by subject, author, or award. Results include editorial reviews, cover images, publisher and bestseller information, awards won, and media mentions. Visit the Fiction Room or the Children’s Room to find favorite series, recurring characters, award winners, and listings of bestsellers by year. 

Twayne's Author Series (Thomson Gale)
Contains the full text of 200 frequently used Twayne Literary Masters books on individual World, US, or English authors, for a total of 600 individual full-text titles.

MasterFile Premier provides access to 1,700 plus full text periodicals (magazines, newspapers, journals), 500 reference books, more than 84,000 biographies, and 100,000 plus primary source documents. It covers a broad range of disciplines including general reference, business, education, health, general science, multi-cultural issues, and much more. In addition to the full text, it also provides indexing and abstracts for nearly 2,400 titles. It includes 5,000 full text Magill Book Reviews, the World Almanac & Book of Facts; full text from 84,774 biographies, 100,554 full text primary source documents, American Heritage Dictionary, 4th Edition and an Image Collection of 202,164 photos, maps and flags. MasterFILE Premier offers PDF backfiles as far back as 1975 for key publications including Foreign Affairs, History Today, Judaism, Library Journal and National Review.

National Newspaper Index (Thomson Gale) 
This database includes citations and abstracts for The New York Times , The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post from 1977 to present. None of the article citations that you find in this database are full-text. If you find a citation to an article and your library does not own it in another form, they can interlibrary loan it from another institution. 

New York State Newspapers (Thomson Gale) 
This full-text newspaper database includes the following NYS publications: Buffalo News, Herald American (Syracuse), Herald-Journal (Syracuse), Indian County Today (Oneida), New York Observer, New York Post, New York Times (also Magazine and Book Review), Newsday (Melville), Post-Standard (Syracuse), Post-Star (Glen Falls), Times Herald-Record (Middletown), Times Union (Albany), and Watertown Daily Times. 

Primary Search Magazines (EBSCO) 
Primary Search contains full-text magazine articles from nearly 70 elementary school magazines. Some of the magazines included are Appleseeds, Boys’ Life, Cobblestone, Cricket, Highlights for Children, Hopscotch, Jack & Jill, Ladybug, Ranger Rick, Science World, Spider, SuperScience, Time for Kids, Turtle, and many more. General Science Collection (EBSCO) 
This database offers full-text coverage for more than 60 of the most popular science publications, including Archaeology, Astronomy, Discover, National Wildlife, New Scientist, Popular Science, Science News, Scientific American, and many others. Subject areas covered include the observation, description, identification, and experimental investigation of phenomena and the application of science to industrial or commercial objectives. The database also includes Great Scientific Achievements of the Twentieth Century, a multi-volume encyclopedia from Salem Press. 

Science Reference Center (EBSCO) 
This research database offers full-text coverage for more than 640 science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, etc. Subject areas covered include biology, chemistry, earth & space science, environmental science, health & medicine, history of science, life science, physics, science and society, science as inquiry, scientists, technology, and wildlife. Much of the material provided correlate to state and national curriculum standards.

This instructional database assists patrons of all ages prepare for a variety of academic and civil service tests, including SAT, GED, ASVAB, clerical worker, police officer, firefighter, postal worker and real estate practice tests. There are math, reading, and writing skill-building resources for all students. Job seekers can receive help in creating a resume and cover letter and tips on preparing for a job.

Are you ready to learn a new language? Your library card is a passport to the world. Mango Languages offers online self-paced courses teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages. Mango's Basic Courses in 22 foreign languages (Arabic, Chinese, Dan, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Pashto, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, and Urdu) and 14 ESL courses (for those currently speaking Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese) use real-life situations to teach vocabulary and basic conversational skills. Mango's Complete Courses in 9 foreign languages (Chinese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish) and 3 ESL courses (for speakers  of German, Portuguese and Spanish) has grammar instruction throughout each lesson. A colorful kid-friendly menu that allows kids to search Primary Search Magazines, Encyclopedia of Animals, General Encyclopedia, and American Heritage Children's Dictionary. 

TumbleBooks Ebooks for Kids (TumbleBook Library) 
TumbleBooks is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which are created from existing picture books. TumbleBooks also includes a collection of full length, unabridged classics in audio format and a small collection of books in French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. Also available are puzzles, games and quizzes. Create a list of Favorites for easy access or preload a number of TumbleBooks in an online player in order to be played one after another. The entire site can also be viewed in Spanish and French.

Requires a Flash plug-in to view and hear animation which can be downloaded for free from the TumbleBooks Help page.
