Family Arts SeriesArabesque Winds
The Aurora Free Library will kick off its Family Arts Series with Arabesque Winds, a woodwind quintet from the Eastman School of Music. This FREE interactive program for all ages will be held on Saturday, April 10 at 11 am at the Aurora Free Library. It is sponsored by Mandel Therapy Group and a NYSCA Decentralization Grant. Elmira Prison Camp: the Andersonville of the North presented by Charles Snyder
"If there ever was a hell on earth Elmira prison was that," is a quote from a Confederate soldier after the Civil War. Charles Snyder, professor, story-teller and historic tour guide, will lead us back to the time of the Civil War to expose the happenings at Elmira Prison and explore the reasons why it was there. The talk will also touch on examples of other prisoner-of-war camps and their stories.Donations Welcome

Zabriskie Folk SeriesThe Andrew & Noah VanNorstrand Band
Andrew and Noah VanNorstrand have been playing the Opera House since they were kids. Both "boys" are accomplished singers, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, focusing on twin fiddles, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin and banjo. Their original music blends old-time Country and Bluegrass, Celtic and Contra, Swing and Jazz, alternative folk rock and various world music influences with daring improvisation and intricate arrangements. The six-piece ensemble adds accordion, bass and drums as well as Noah’s wife,Kailyn Wright, on vocals.Adults $12, Seniors $10, Students/Children $8
